The La Provincia Cultural Center is located on the beach the Caribbean city of Cartagena in Colombia. We offer tourists a variety of activities related to the culture of the Colombian countryside. Here you can participate in a traditional vallenato parranda, learn to dance cumbia, prepare typical dishes and drinks, learn about the world-renowned Colombian coffee and practice the art of artisanal fishing with local fishermen.
Centro Cultural La Provincia also collaborates with social organizations, which can make free use of the facilities for the implementation of courses and conferences. We believe that a strong civil society that feels proud and happy to be Colombian are factors that contribute to a prosperous and peaceful Colombia.

Centro Cultural La Provincia has recorded two of Bob Dylan’s iconic songs to a vallenato rhythm in homage to the legendary American artist.
The accordionist is Colombia’s reigning vallenato king, Manuel Vega, and the singer is the Norwegian Øystein Schjetne.
The songs will be released at an event at the cultural center on May 22. The same day they will be available on Spotify, YouTube Music, iTunes and other platforms.
In 2019, the La Provincia Cultural Center organized the first classical vallenato festival in Cartagena.
At the festival, tribute was paid to the first Vallenato king Vallenato Alejo Durán in commemoration of his 100th birthday and to his brother, also a prominent composer and Vallenato king, Nafer Durán.
Centro Cultural La Provincia has its own youth program for the local communities, Albalab.
We continously receive wonderful people from all over the world to contribute in our social and cultural initiatives as volunteers.
